Key Responsibilities
 
The Secretary of the Board is appointed by the Chairman and is responsible for maintaining and safekeeping accurate and sufficient documentation to comply with applicable legal requirements.  Additionally, the Secretary oversees processes and policies that enable authorized persons to determine when, how, and by whom the board's business is conducted. To fulfill these responsibilities, in accordance with the organization's bylaws, the Secretary records minutes of Board meetings, ensures their accuracy and availability to members and to the public. The Secretary also performs other duties as needed and/or as defined in the bylaws.
