The ROCKS, Inc.: A Historical Journey from 1974 - 2015
To All ROCK Chapter Presidents and ROCK Members
Your Support Needed for The ROCKS Journey Book Project
The Journey Book Project that has been authorized by The National Board of the ROCKS, Inc. is to be published prior to the next Gala. It will showcase the organization’s progress from its inception in 1974 through 2015.
We have made significant progress in finalizing the written and pictorial portion of the book. Our next major effort is to obtain the necessary funds for publication of the book and we are well on the way to achieving this goal.
During the 2014 ROCKS Leadership and Training Conference BG(R) Velma Richardson request that all ROCKS members pledge and contribute monetarily to the making the Journey book a success. The National Board accepted BG Richardson's recommendation and emails and letters have gone out to all ROCKS members. If you have not made a pledge or contribution to the Journey book project, please click the button below and make your donation to this memorable project today.
We need you to encourage members that you know to pledge and/or make a contribution as requested above in order to get the ROCKS Journey book published. We encourage a one-time payment in the amount of $120 or you may pledge to make a payment of $10.00 per month by credit/debit card for 12 consecutive months.
For those ROCKS members that have made their Journey Book Project pledge and have made payments, we thank you and ask that you encourage other ROCK members to contribute. Your pledge to help get the Journey Book published will benefit both your chapter and the National Board. The total proceeds from the sale of the book will be kept by the chapters to be used for their approved programs. Likewise, the total proceeds from the sale of the book by the National Board will be used to fund their approved programs. We are an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and your contribution to the Journey Book project is tax deductible. Thanks for your support of this special project.
